Education Program

Education is a foundation and basic factors for long-term development of a family/ community. Although, the education is a fundamental human right, still thousands of children are deprived of education and those who are in reach may not have quality education. Many schools are running with no child-friendly school standards. Considering the present context related to children education (large number of young, aged population, low literacy rate, poor access to education and facilities, orphanage and poor family status, high child labor, malnourished), INNP decided to strengthen and do further work on education identifying as one of the major strategic sectors. 


Goal:

Increased access to quality education and promote the well-being of vulnerable children. 

 

Major Areas of work:

  • Scholarship: INCAP Model: Individual monthly support to children and family; INGAP Model (Awareness raising program in social issues; Career counseling; run extra coaching classes to needy children; Parent counseling and support in income generation activities; Health check-ups and treatment); celebrating seasonal festivals.
  • School support: School building and Infrastructure support; Instructional and teaching Resource material support to schools; Support to form policies and guidelines in school (SIP)
  • Adult literacy program: Run adult literacy classes; parental education.
  • Establishment of pre-school: Establish pre-school to enroll needy children.

Major Strategies: 

  • Provide access to quality education through individual scholarship
  • Collaborate and make access to INCAP
  • Coordinate with donor and get access to INGAP
  • Network with government and private schools to strengthen education system in rural and needy areas through school improvement program
  • Collaborate with training providers and promote awareness, understanding, and networking in children and youths to be better-informed individual
  • Form INNP graduate alumni and run awareness, career-counseling programme.
  • Collaborate with funding partners and work with construction company to establish preschool 

Indicators:

  • Percentage increase in enrolment of children in the program.
  • Established Information system to monitor students’ progress.
  • Percentage increase in enrolment categories (INCAP and INGAP).
  • Number of schools involved in INGAP model.
  • Percentage improvement in health status of enrolled children
  • Number of awareness and career-counseling session run including alumni.
  • Number of ECD center constructed/established and number of students enrolled in pre-school.
  • Amount of fund commitment/donor agreement to establish pre-school and operation for at least five years.
